1.     Describe the overall composition of your artwork (balance, unity, rhythm and movement).
THe overall composition of my artwork i feel was pretty good because the way i used the open space in my print.  I do not feel like it would be the same without the branches in the backround. Also the leaves in the front i feel adds some more design to the print.
2.     How did you add texture and contrast to your print? Is this important? Why?
I added texture by putting lines in certain places on objects. The lines on the monkey and the leaves really bring out texture in the objects and it would not be the same without them. This is very important otherwise it would be one shape of ink.  Without no lines in the object you cant make out what the picture is once you print it, so using good contrast helps out a lot to bring out the objects.
3.     Explain how you used positive and negative space to show your image.
Cutting out what is black really helps you determine distance in the print, and see what is up front and what is in the backround.
4.     Describe the craftsmanship of your print. (How good the project is technically crafted)
The craftmanship of my print i think was good to go off of what i had in my sketch.  I had to many lines in defining the fur on the monkey in my sketch.  I think that i did a good job simplifying the fur while still having the same contrast in the print.
5.     Were you able to achieve depth by showing a foreground, middle ground and back- ground? Explain.
I belive i was able to achieve depth because when you look at it you can tell that the leaves and the monkey are up front, while the branches are just behind the monkey.  Making everything black around it helps create the backround.
6.     Explain your experience with Printmaking. What were the obstacles and advantages?
Printmaking overall was not that hard to do.  The only obstacle that i had was that with some of the small lines, getting in to my last prints the ink was starting to get into some of those lines which left off contrast in some areas

Print Sketch Critique

1. Why is texture so important to have in your sketches?
It makes the sketch look more like a real animal.
2. Why is it neccessary for you to have several references of each animal and each background? Explain. This way you can take different pictures and it helps you to make your sketch.

3. When you look at your sketches are you able to see which sketch is the strongest and will make the best print? How do you know this? Yes, which ever sketch you see can pop out and not blend in with the backround will probably be the best

Chalk Mural Critique

1. Explain your experience working on a team and executing your ideas for the mural.
Working on a team helps get all ideas on to one project.  This helps work get done faster and it helps to get a more complete project with different people using personal skills on to one project.
2. Explain the importance of collaboration when working on a team.
Working togethter is a big part of getting the project done.  If people do not collaborate then the project may not get done on time and it might not be as good.
3.  How successful was this project? Explain how and why.
I think the project was pretty successful. Adding the values to the books really make all the colors pop out.  If u stand from a distance you can see how it actually looks real.
4. Explain how you feel about creating artwork that others can interact with. Ex. Invoving the whole school?
It seems cool how everyone can see the work and interact with it.  Making it look real helps others get into the situation.
